Below are 3 types of notarial acts that can be provided

Acknowledgements

An acknowledgement is for declaring to a notary public that he or she has willingly signed a document.

Jurat

A Jurat is a written statement from a notary public confirming that they have administered an oath or affirmation

Oath and Affirmations

Oaths and Affirmations are notarial acts that compel a person to tell the truth. An oath is a pledge to God, and an affirmation is a pledge on the signer’s personal honor.

Requirements

A valid, non-expired ID must be presented to verify your identity.

Accepted forms of ID

  • State-issued Driver’s license
  • State-issued ID card
  • Resident alien ID (green card)
  • U.S. Military ID
  • U.S. Passport

Cannot be used to verify ID

  • Birth certificates
  • Credit/Debit cards
  • School/College ID
  • Social security cards

Fees

Notary fee: $5 per notarial act

Travel fee: $2.50 per mile

Travel fees will be calculated after receiving your appointment request, where you will be prompted to provide a meeting location. This fee must be agreed upon beforehand by law, so we will discuss this when confirming your requested meeting time.

Travel fees must be paid in advance, and are non-refundable in cases of no-show or last minute cancellation. If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible so we can decide a new time. No-show is 15 minutes past our scheduled meeting time, and last minute cancellation is within 30 minutes of our meeting time.
